How’s your sex life?

Check out how Cherished Cherubs can help put the mojo back in your love life after kids.

The way we figure it, if you have kids you must have had some sort of sex life at some point. Oh my how that changes when the kids come along!

Can you remember when your last date was? When you are childless it is common practice to go out at least once a week on a date or social outing.

Once you become a parent those nights out become less common, if they happen at all!  And we can all understand how this happens, we get tired, we get busy with work, we don’t feel like it, it takes effort to get organised, is it worth it? I ask you though, what is the risk of NOT doing date night?

Is the first birthday party really for the baby, or is it for their parent’s ego?

When a child turns 1 year, it seems to be on the increase that parents are spending hundreds of dollars on their baby’s party. There is booking of venue, deciding from a multitude of entertainer options, choosing which extravagant birthday cake, narrowing down which array of food the hired help will offer, and organising a variety of music options.

Why can’t kids entertain themselves anymore?

Are we doing too much for our kids so they don’t know how to entertain themselves?

As a parent I have never found myself saying so often ‘find something to do’.  As a working parent there are times when I do have to focus on my work and not be able to be interact with my school age children and so they need to occupy themselves.  School holidays means they are home more and I still have my work to do, so they have more hours to spend entertaining themselves.  I do not encourage electronic games, preferring imagination, creativity and physical activity.

New parents take note, being a parent is not all fun n games.

I was around a pool the other day when a parent of a young child was descending the steps into a rather cold pool with her 2 year old on her hip.  She turned around and said ‘this is when being a parents sucks!’.  It had me thinking, yes there are times when it really does so when else does parenting fall in the not so much fun basket?

Should children attend weddings?

Cherished Cherubs Babysitting have the perfect solution to this contentious question.

Spring and summer bring the season for Weddings!!  I love weddings, it is all about happiness and smiles, and catching up with people you don’t see too often.  As a bride it also brings decision making, months and sometimes years in advance.  Venue, flowers, dress, and guests are all the obvious decisions.  But what about guests that have children?

It is less than 7 weeks until Christmas!! Are you cheering or panicking?  Do you know what you are getting for everyone?

What is meant to be a festive time of year can often become stressful and upsetting. For parents there is often nothing more demanding than trying to organize shopping trips with their little ones in tow. I am not an avid shopper at the best of times, so if you add five times the number of people, long queues, impatient people trying to get prime parking, and Christmas carols over and over, well, a gift voucher for everyone from Bunnings is looking very appealing.

Did you read last week’s babysitting disaster blog? To prevent it happening to you, here are 10 questions to ask yourself before asking a family member or friend to babysit.

Whether you have a cousin, mum, family friend or nephew available to babysit, you need to ask yourself these 10 questions before asking them to care for your kids .....

To holiday with or without kids?

Is it a holiday if you have kids in tow?

At Cherished Cherubs we delight in babysitting at hotels when parents go out for dinner, a show or work function.  Sometimes these are local parents enjoying a night at a hotel, and at other times the families are travelling from interstate or overseas.

From the initial quote and booking to the baby sitting service, Cherished Cherubs have been outstanding all the way through!! It gave us complete peace of mind knowing our son was well looked after. - Christina, 3/3/20

We had Riana look after our 1.5 year old son for a few hours while we went out for dinner. From the moment she walked in the door both my son and daughter were obsessed with her. - Michelle, 31/8/20

Our babysitter Erica was fantastic, she went above and beyond to make our little people feel safe and happy. Strongly recommend her to others and will use again in the future. - Dale, 19/10/20

My children felt at ease with Ema straight away. She read them stories and settled them into bed. Booking and communication process was very straightforward and easy to use. Highly recommend - Hannah, 1/12/20
