Times up for Cherished Cherubs Babysitting

Time is something most working parents in Perth and around Australia struggle with, and the owner of Cherished Cherubs Babysitting is learning to change the clock.

At a recent seminar we were asked to say one challenge we had at the moment, and how we can overcome this challenge. The responses varied, things like being able to stay focused, working out where to put the efforts, making the right contacts, working out the best strategies. They all seemed to have obvious solutions to work with.

What was my challenge? It was TIME. I was struggling to find time to meet the needs of my kids, meet my work goals, catch up with my friends and generally fit everything in.

But how do you find more time? You can’t alter the 24 hours in a day, you can’t sleep less or you don’t function to your maximum potential (I’ve tried it). You can’t just wipe out the family for a block period, or work to focus on the other.

But there is an answer.

The lovely Nerida Mills from Caterpillar Coaching shed the light.

Why don’t we alter our time frame expectations. Instead of wanting to achieve our goals in 3 months, maybe run that out to 5 months to be more realistic and relieve the pressure cooker. Instead of running around and having the children all participate in 3 or 4 activities each, cut that back to 2 and actually lock in a couple of home afternoons to slow things down and spend time on homework, cooking, craft, going to the park.

Schedule in meet ups with friends, instead of saying ‘we must catch up’. Make date nights a regular thing, happier relationships make happier lives. Don’t use excuses such as no babysitters as there is help at hand for Perth and Mandurah families, check out the website - www.cherishedcherubs.com.au

Life is busy. For some of us life will always be busy, it’s the way we are programmed, it is what we have built around ourselves, and often what we like.

We can continue to be busy without being overwhelmed and stressed. We don’t have to lower our standards, but by cutting back on our expectations time line we will free up the challenge that we call time.

What time line can you extend on, for your own sanity?

We had Riana look after our 1.5 year old son for a few hours while we went out for dinner. From the moment she walked in the door both my son and daughter were obsessed with her. - Michelle, 31/8/20

Our babysitter Erica was fantastic, she went above and beyond to make our little people feel safe and happy. Strongly recommend her to others and will use again in the future. - Dale, 19/10/20

My children felt at ease with Ema straight away. She read them stories and settled them into bed. Booking and communication process was very straightforward and easy to use. Highly recommend - Hannah, 1/12/20
